The winner of the VSNIP Logo Contest
How the VSNIP Logo was Created

A contest was held to find the perfect logo for the new Vermont Spay and Neuter Incentive Program. It had to be something that would catch the attention and speak to the heart of dog owners in our state. Out of all the submissions we found the ideal representation of this important new program. The winners got a trip to the State House to see where these important decisions are made in our beautiful state. Sara O'Conner and Erin Kelly both submitted eye catching Logos. Their submissions were combined with our Director Sue Skaskiw adding the finishing touches to create the Logo we use today for this ground breaking program.

"I'm Erin Kelly and I'm 10 years old. I just finished the 4th grade at Rochester Elementary School. I entered the contest because I love animals and my friend who works at the school, told me about it and knew I'd be interested. I got the idea for the drawings of the dog and cat from a comic book that I made up called "Space Dog". Space Dog has lots of adventures and I hope to continue to write more stories about him and "Professor Cat." I'm glad you liked the logo. I was very excited to be one of the winners and be able to go to the State House."
